Bradley Evans
Bradley Evans' teachers in Sydney were Annette Erskine-Smith and Elizabeth Powell with whom he completed his Bachelor of Music in 1981. In 1982 he was State winner (NSW) and Commonwealth finalist of the ABC Concerto Competition and winner of the inaugural Yamaha National Piano Competition. A Queen Elizabeth Silver Jubilee Award enabled him to continue studies in London with Benjamin Kaplan, where he was a prize winner in the Overseas League Competition. In 1989 he completed his Graduate Diploma in Accompaniment at the Sydney Conservatorium studying with David Miller.
From 1991 to 2001 he lived and taught at a Music Grammar School in Germany.
Since returning to Australia in 2001, Bradley has taught at the Conservatorium Access Centre, St. Catherine's Waverley and currently at Sydney Grammar School. He has established a thriving private studio in Bexley with 10 successful Diploma Students in 2012.
Bradley is an examiner with the AMEB and winner of the 2012 AMEB Shield Award for outstanding teaching: Private Teacher Pianoforte Category - Seventh Grade to Licenciate.
