Peter Poole

Peter’s professional musical performance includes pit orchestras, Australian Army Bands (DLSM, ADM), Queensland Pops Orchestra and Jazz bands throughout Australia.  His teaching includes AMEB and Eisteddfod preparation, classroom music at St John the Evangelist School Nowra, instrumental development programs in over 20 schools within NSW and Director of music education Eurobodalla Music School Batemans Bay.

He was appointed Music Development Officer with Parkes Shire Council and Artist in Residence Central West NSW ARTS developing Instrumental music programs in Public and Christian schools.  Peter has also implemented instrumental development programs in schools on the South Coast on NSW.

Community Leadership has included: Bandmaster Forbes Town Band, Parkes Shire Concert Band, Moruya and District Brass Band; Conductor Sing Australia Choirs – Batemans Bay and Moruya; Founder of the Central West Orchestra now the Parkes Symphony Orchestra; Founder of the Eurobodalla Jazz Club at Batemans Bay.

Peter currently is a jazz trombonist with Capt Bob’s Stationhouse 7, lead trumpeter with the Bay show band and bassist with contemporary pop bands.
