Paul Watson

Paul Watson is a Sydney based session drummer and an accredited drum teacher with the Music Teachers' Association of NSW.

Paul had his first drum lesson at the age of ten with Sydney Symphony Orchestra percussionist, Brian Nixon. Throughout the years Paul went on to study with some more of Australia's top drummers and educators including Andrew Dickeson, David Jones, Gordon Rytmeister and Milan Troha.

Over the years his students have received High Distinctions and Honours in all four grades of the Advancing CPM drumkit exams with many students going on to become teachers and professional players. Paul's teaching experience allowed him to write his own drumming book Zero To Hero which was published by AMPD and released in July of 2011.

Paul has performed live and recorded with many artists including the following signed original acts, The Choirboys, Jon English, Peter Cupples, Jenn Forbes, Sarah Humphreys and Jonahs Road to name a few as well as iconic tribute acts Elvis To The Max (U.S.A) and The Beatnix.
