2025 Music Performance and Feedback Program – Supporting Senior Secondary Students
The Music Teachers’ Association of NSW is offering a performance opportunity for senior secondary music students preparing for their final year school assessments in 2025. Students will be invited to perform two contrasting pieces of music, not exceeding 10 minutes in total. Students undertaking more advanced coursework may present a third piece if they wish.
All participants will receive structured written feedback from an experienced and accredited music educator, aimed at supporting their ongoing musical development and preparation for school-based assessment. This initiative is designed to build performance confidence, offer an independent perspective, and provide tailored feedback aligned with curriculum outcomes.
Students based in regional or remote areas will have the opportunity to submit a single-take video performance, which will be reviewed under the same process and timeframes as in-person performances.
This program is an independent educational initiative offered by MTANSW. It is not associated with or endorsed by NESA or the NSW HSC examination system.
