Elizabeth Pisarek
Elizabeth Pisarek studied piano and violin at the University of Western Australia where she completed the Bachelor of Music majoring in Performance on both piano and violin. During her studies she studied piano with Alice Carrard and violin with Vaughan Hanly. Upon completion of her degree she played professionally in the WA Arts Orchestra and also freelanced as both a pianist and violinist. In 1980 she was awarded a Polish Government Scholarship to study at the Warsaw Conservatorium of Music with Doc. Henryk Palulis.
Elizabeth returned to Western Australia in 1983 where she rejoined the WA Arts Orchestra as a violinist and also commenced teaching in a private music studio. In 1988 Elizabeth moved to Sydney where she began teaching music as a peripatetic instrumental teacher in several private schools in Sydney. She completed her Dip. Ed. in 1991 and until 2009 taught high school music including Music 1 and Music 2 in both NSW Education Department and Private Colleges throughout Sydney.
Since 2010, Elizabeth now teaches exclusively in her private studio in Cherrybrook. Her students range from preschool to adult learners. Elizabeth specialises in the preparation for AMEB examinations covering courses from preliminary to A.Mus.A in Piano, Violin ,Theory and Musicianship.
In 2020 and 2021 Elizabeth’s main focus has also been in encouraging students to work towards on line examinations in theory and musicianship and the performance repertoire examinations in piano and violin.
